Person: Overview of BVCMS–Major Focus is on People
This is a 27-minute overview of BVCMS beginning with a brief look at the Home Page features: Birthdays, Reports, My Involvement, News, Tasks, and Help. The focus is primarily on the Person pages, starting with how to Search for a Person. You will see a demonstration of various features that connect People with a Family, to extended family (Family Relationships), within Organizations, within the Church, as well as how BVCMS functions as a CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) using Contacts.

Organization:
This is a 15-minute look at Organizations beginning with an Organization Search, explaining how the search works. The focus of this video is an actual Organization with explanations of the various tabs, the toolbar (emailing individuals), Member Dialog box (member types – role within the organization), Groups, Filtering by Group, joining Visitors to the Organization.

Inactive: used for Deacons, Committees – groups in which member rotate on and off

Pending: primarily used for annual Promotion, but can be used by those serving on a Committee with a specific start date

Prospects and Query Builder:
This is a 9-minute overview of how to find your prospects by using Query Builder, starting after visitors have been added to a meeting. We show how to use a Saved Query for Recent Visitors to identify those who need some sort of follow-up Contact as well as the tools available.

Checkin:
This is a 12-minute demonstration of our checkin software beginning with the screen that is seen by families checking in. We simulate members, returning visitors and new visitors checking in. We then show the types of labels that print. Lastly, we show what happened in the database when people checked in.

Returning visitors checking in – noticing that the class they previously attended was listed

A person not in the database is added along with other family members

Labels are printed for those checking in and we show what those look like along with a thorough explanation of the various labels for members and visitors and the security labels for parents

We go the database and see that those checking in are recorded present in the meeting (either as a member, visitor, or a new visitor)

Checkin Labels:
This is a 10-minute demonstration of the settings on Organizations that relate to the checkin program.

No security label required – used for older children’s classes, when a parent does not have to pick up their child

Insert People Spreadsheet:
This is a 1-minute look at the Insert People Spreadsheet that we can send to churches just getting started with BVCMS. They can fill in the spreadsheet from their existing list of people to be inserted into their BVCMS database. This is suitable for small churches without a lotof data to be converted.
On-Line Registrations:
This is an 8-minute look at on-line registrations. We demonstrate what it looks like for a person registering for an event as well as what the settings look like on the Organization.

Tasks for Contacts and Just Addeds:
This is a 9-minute screencast demonstrating Tasks that are created for someone to complete with a Contact.

When a Contact is created, an email is sent to the person who has been assigned the task

When that person click ‘Complete the Task’ he is taken to the Contact form to fill in the details

Another email is sent to the Tasks owner letting that person know that the task is complete

Contributions:

Email Management:
This is a 4 1/2-minute look at the Email Management page which displays all the emails that have been sent using BVCMS.

Only a person with the Admin user role can access that page.

It shows the following in a list format: Date Sent (scheduled), From (name), From (Email Address), Count (# of emails sent), and the Subject of the email. You can drill down to see the details about a specific email.

Volunteer System:
This is a 27-minute demonstration of Volunteer Registrations. We show several different examples of Volunteer Registrations.

Coordinator Training:
This is a 54-minute training session webinar in which we answer questions and provide explanations of features based on previously submitted requests. This was follow-up training with a church. Some staff were new to BVCMS and others had been using it for several months.

Annual Promotion:
This is a 1 1/2-minute audio about annual promotion of children from one grade to the next.
MyData Update:
This is a 1 1/2-minute audio discussing how church members can access their records.
Lay Leader Access:
This is a 1-minute audio discussing the Org Member Only user role that allows lay leaders to access BVCMS to manage their groups.
