Organizations to track purchases:
We use special settings to enable people to purchase on-line one or more of several types of meals. To accomplish this using BVCMS, we create an organization and use the 'Menu Items' settings. In that field, we have the types of meals that are offered (Child's Plate, Traditional Meal, Chef's Salad, Deli Meal, Variety Meal) along with the price for each. Also, in order to retain the history of who has purchased meal tickets on-line, you will need to put a -1 in the 'days to ignore history on drop' field.
NOTE: The default is not to retain history of enrollment if a person has no attendance in an organization for 6 weeks after enrollment. This is to account for people that might be enrolled in error. By using -1 in that field, anyone who places an order will show in the Previous tab. We want that so that we can send emails, etc. to let them know about anything special coming up.
This allows a person to go on-line, enter their basic information (Name, Date of Birth, etc), select the quantities of each meal and pay using a credit card.
