New Member Class

Requirement can be ‘completed’ by Attending or with a status of Admin Approval or Child Exempt

If a church does not require a New Member Class, then all new members should be given a status of Admin Approval

Biological Baptism

If someone is baptized after a POF and is less than 16 years old and has at least one parent who was a church member for more than 1 year at the time of the child’s POF, then we sub-categorize that baptism as biological (the system calculates this). This helps us to know whether this child came to the church more independently or was raised in the church.

Subsequent Baptism

A church member who asks to be baptized realizing that they were saved after they had been baptized originally.

Change the Baptism Type to Subsequent

Enter the date of their subsequent baptism

NOTE: We do not record this as a Decision or change any of the current membership information. We just record the actual baptism.

NOTE: If you want to record the Scheduled Date of the baptism, be sure to change the Baptism Type to Subsequent, then change the Status to Scheduled and enter the Scheduled date in the Scheduled Date field. Then, once the baptism has taken place, change the Status to Completed and enter the date.
